OUTREACH MINISTRIES Palmas Community Church believes that it is its responsibility to carry out the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ both locally and throughout the world. We have outreach events throughout the year where we serve our local community and present the life changing truth of the Gospel We have also partnered in reaching the world by supporting and sending short term mission teams throughout the year. We work side by side with national and local missionaries to share the love of Jesus. We are currently serving with the following ministries. TEARS T.E.A.R.S. is a ministry focused on facilitating holistic communities of worship in developing countries around the world. Currently T.E.A.R.S. has a presence in La Vega, Dominican Republic. We have partnered in supporting ministry in the Dominican Republic through mission teams, leading medical clinics, sending hundreds of pounds of clothing and personal items, monthly financial support and consulting services. They are ministering among difficult and dangerous conditions in Zimbabwe. “Political turmoil, drought and food shortages have led to considerable economic hardships. According to the United Nations World Health Organization, the life expectancy for men in Zimbabwe is 37 years and the life expectancy for women is 34 years of age, one of the lowest in the world in 2006. The HIV infection rate is very high at over 33% for people aged 15-49." We encourage and provide monthly financial support the Tapera family. We also assist with special projects to support the people of Zimbabwe and bring the hope of the Gospel. (CEM) The Rock Radio is a three-station AM radio network based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Their purpose is to reach out to the people of God with the whole Word of God.
